These Homemade Aloe Vera Ice Cubes Will Help Sooth The Sunburns

Aloe Vera is a well know product that’s used in cosmetics, but it’s also a go to when it comes to sunburns. It has cooling effects on the skin that help the redness and stinging sensation disappear as soon as possible.


However, you can go one step further and enhance the cooling effects of this plant by making Aloe Vera ice cubes. They are easy to make, easy to keep and easy to use and the best part is, they are very effective for treating sunburns.

Aloe Vera Ice Cubes

Ingredients:

  • 4 large pieces of Aloe Vera leaves
  • 1 cup of distilled water

Instructions:

Start by washing the aloe leaves, then, using a knife, slice of the tips and spiky sides of the leaves. Peel off the top layer of the aloe leaves and then with a spoon remove the gel that’s inside.

Put all the gel that you will collect in a blender and add the distilled water to it. Blend until the mixture is nice an even and you don’t notice any gel bits. When you’re done blending, with a spoon, remove the froth at the top that has occurred and discard it.

You may now pour the mixture into an ice cub tray and stash it in the freezer. Once the Aloe Vera ice cubes have completely frozen, you can start using them. Just apply and gently rub them on the burnt are, and you will notice the cooling effects instantly.

You can also apply the ice cubs on your nose and cheeks to help shrink those large pores.
